2020 Sedona Mountain Bike Festival Schedule

Thursday, March 5th

Noon – Registration and packet pick up open from Noon – 6 pm at Over The Edge Sports.

4 – 6 pm – VIDA packet pickup and registration at Over The Edge Sports.

6:30 pm – World Ride Film Night. A night of short films benefiting World Ride, a 501c3 that works to empower women through mountain biking globally. Showing @ the Mary D Fisher Theatre

Friday, March 6th

9 am – Registration open.

9 am – 1 pm Patagonia Worn Wear is here to keep your gear in play! Need a repair? Bring your gear by the Patagonia Worn Wear booth between 9am-1pm, pickup by 5pm. If it’s broke, fix it!

9:30 – 10:30 am –  VIDA MTB Series hosts a FREE yoga session, presented by Shredly. All participants will receive something special from Shredly! Meet at the Main Stage.

10 am – First shuttle leaves.

10 am – Group ride hosted by Transition Bikes and led by Hannah Bergman, Lars Sternberg and Angi Weston. All skill levels are welcome. Central Sedona trails, 1.5 – 2 hours. Meet at the Transition booth.   

10 am – Troy Lee Designs Group Ride lead by Leigh Donovan 

10:30 am –  DUSTY BETTY/ORBEA RIDE meeting at the Orbea Booth – 2 hours, all skills and ages welcome

10:30 am – All abilities ~2 hr group ride with Wade Simmons and Sam Schultz. Get your bearings for riding from the venue and shred with a fun crew. Meet at the Rocky Mountain tent.

10 am – Hardtail Party Group Ride, meet at the Tailwind Booth. This will be a no-drop ride on intermediate trails. Everyone welcome, even if you don’t have a hardtail.

Noon – Reeb Romp with Jeff Lenosky, Trail Boss. This will be a fun 2 hour no drop ride on trails around the festival. Sign up Here

1 pm – VIDA ladies social group ride, open to all festival attendees. Pre-Registration, is required and available HERE  Meet at VIDA booth.

1 pm – Group Ride hosted by ZOIC, led by ZOIC Athletes Tom Danger and Robbie Pfunder. Beginner/Intermediate. 1.5-2 hours. Meet at ZOIC booth. 

1 pm – 3 pm – Ryan Leech Skills Jam Sign up in advance at Ryan’s truck or online.

1 pm – Beer garden opens.

1 pm – Group ride hosted by Transition Bikes and led by Hannah Bergman, Lars Sternberg and Angi Weston. All skill levels welcome. Central Sedona trails, 1.5 – 2 hours. Meet at the Transition booth. 

1:30 – 3:30 pm – Planet Sandwich on the Main Stage.

2 pm – 6pm – VIDA clinic check in and packet pick-up at the VIDA tent 

2 pm  – Ride with the Rangers. Here is your chance to ride with a real life Forest Service Ranger on an intermediate ride from the venue. Meet at the Forest Service booth.

3 pm – Last shuttle departs.

3 pm – Ergon Tech Talk: Saddles & Grips, why they will change your ride.

4 – 6 pm – Ryan Chrys and the Rough Cuts on the Main Stage.

4 – 6 pm – VIDA tech Clinic with Squish Dynamics at the VIDA booth. 

4 – 6 pm – Party in the Woods (or vortex) at the Transition Bikes booth. Free beer / beverages and food featuring Hibachibot (<–TENATIVE). Meet the Transition crew and have a go a the Klunker Wheelie Contest from 4:30-5:30.

4:20 pm MTBBOXX will be doing a live raffle. Attendees can sign up and buy a raffle ticket for $1 at their booth. Do not need to be present to win!

5 pm – Last return shuttle back to the the expo area.

5:30 pm – TASCO footdown competition. Followed by Happy Hour after party featuring Dough Broughs Pizza. Join TASCO for a few laughs as we close down Day 1 of the 2020 Sedona Mountain Bike Festival!

6 pm – Industry Nine Night Ride Meet at the I9 booth. Easy, mellow ride up Soldiers Pass and down Adobe Jack to the trail head. Extra credit options after if willing. Lighting provided by Outbound Lighting. ( limited number of lights, stop by to reserve a set.) All levels ride, no drop with sweepers, aka “Party Pace” Will finish back at the Industry Nine booth. 

7 pm – Expo is closed and all cars need to be off parking fields.  

8 pm – Revel Bikes Birthday Party at the Sundowner! – with music from everyone’s favorite MTB punk band The Deores! No Cover but the bar is cash only. Party starts around 8 the band will start thrashing at 8:30. It’s a birthday party, so there will be cake.  

Saturday, March 7th

9 am – Registration open.

9:15 – 9:30 am – VIDA clinic check-in at VIDA booth.

9:30 am – Join Eric Porter and Seth’s Bike hacks for a 2 hour no drop group ride.  Meet at the Dimondback booth.

10 am – First shuttle leaves.

10 am – Group ride hosted by Transition Bikes and led by Hannah Bergman, Lars Sternberg and Angi Weston. All skill levels welcome. Central Sedona trails, 1.5 – 2 hours. Meet at the Transition booth.   

10 am – Group Ride hosted by ZOIC led by Factory Pivot Riders Rob Drew & Ryan Corless. Intermediate/Advanced. 1 – 1.5 hours. Meet at ZOIC booth.

10 am – Absolute Bikes group ride leaving from the shuttle area, ending in the VOC Absolute Bikes, with lunch provided. Then a second ride at 2 pm on HiLine after lunch, or take a shuttle back to the event. This a no drop ride, with an A and B ride option. Go fast or chill back and enjoy the views!”

10 am – A fun, no-drop group ride with Syd and Macky starting from the Niner Booth. We’ll ride the trails around the festival venue for 1-1.5 hours. Show up early and snag a Niner demo bike!

10 am – Ladies Group Ride! Led by Roam Events founders Ash Bocast and Andi Zolton along with Specialized’s Morgan Roberts! Meet at the Specialized booth! (2 hour ride)

10:30 – Shimano “Priority” Shuttle ride with “Trail Boss” video star Jeff Lenosky, Multi-Time Enduro World Series Champion Richie Rude, North American Enduro Champion Kyle Warner and Redbull Rampage and slopestyle Legend Darren Berrecloth. Three shuttled laps of local favorite “Brewer” trail! After third lap the group will ride back to the venue. Check in at the festival signup to add your name to the Shimano athlete ride. Limited space on special Shimano priority shuttle.  Shimano “Make Your Mark” T-Shirts to all group ride participants. For ride, meet at Festival entrance where our Shimano ride sign is posted next to the Sedona Trail Fund Shimano XT display and look for our Shimano athlete ride leaders. Be ready to roll out to the shuttle at 10:30 AM. Recommend arrive prior to 10:30 AM! 1 to 1½ hour – Intermediate

10:30 am – Women’s only ride leaving from the Rocky Mountain/ BC Bike RIDE tent. A 2 hr hammer ride with the ladies from Canada. Less stopping, more riding! Fun, inclusive, no drop and lots of “fun eh’s?” and high fives!

10:30 Julbo/Dusty Betty no drop ride with time to session.

11am – Group Ride with Richie Schley.  Meet at the Fezzari tent for a 2 hour group ride.

12pm -Group ride with Sedona local Simon Bosman. Very advanced skill level. “Old School Gnarly Ride”  3 hour ride, group will be limited to ten people. Please no demo bikes. Ride will meet at the ZOIC tent. 

12 pm – Troy Lee Designs Bunny Hop Clinic lead by Leigh Donovan

1 pm – Beer garden opens

1 pm –  Group ride hosted by Transition Bikes and led by Hannah Bergman, Lars Sternberg and Angi Weston. Advanced. Highline, Hangover, Hogs (conditions dependent), 3.5 – 4 hours. Meet at the Transition booth. 

1 pm – 3 pm – Ryan Leech Skills Jam Sign up in advance at Ryan’s truck or online.

1 pm Club Ride group ride led by Hardtail Party followed by free happy hour.  A mellow no drop ride by the festival.

1:00 pm –  ~2 hr group ride with Rocky Mountain riders Wade Simmons and Sam Schultz and BC Bike RIDE crew. Meet and finish at the Rocky Mountain tent for a free happy hour keg and enter the raffle to win a brand new Rocky Mountain Instinct C50 + an entry to the BC Bike RIDE ($10,000 value!). Beer starts flowing at 3pm. 

1:30 – 3:30 pm – Spicy Loops  on the Main Stage.

2 pm – Ride with the Rangers. Here is your chance to ride with a real life Forest Service Ranger on an intermediate ride from the venue. Meet at the Forest Service booth.

2 pm – Jib Jam presented by Revel Bikes and Handup Gloves! Meet at the Revel tent at 2pm and roll to 3 different spots with Revel team riders Mason Bond and Brady Tweedy. Show off what you can do and win some swag.

2 pm – Afternoon Trail Shred! Led by Specialized Pro Enduro Rider, Curtis Keene and local trail ninja Lars Romig! Meet at the Specialized booth! (2 hour ride)

2:30 pm – Trail Boss, Jeff Lenosky’s 2 hour no drop ride on trails around the festival. Post ride refreshments and a chance to get your hands on an Oskar Blues TB IPA Sign up Here

3 pm – Last shuttle departs.

3 pm – Autograph/meet & greet with EWS star Richie Rude of Yeti / Fox Factory Racing Team at CushCore booth.

3 – 4 pm – Happy hour hosted by Club Ride. Located at the Club Ride booth.

3 pm – Enter to Win a Rocky Mountain Instinct C50 + an entry to the BC Bike RIDE ($10,000 value!). Includes free Wanderlust Beer!

3 pm – Ice Cream Social! Eat ice cream with everyone at the Pearl Izumi Tent

3:30 pm – ZOIC’s Revenge of the Nerds Tricycle Race! Pedal hard and CHUG for pride and prizes! Register your team at the ZOIC Booth. 

4 pm – Tricycle Race Podium presentation and DANCE PARTY (because why not?). Join ZOIC for libations, prizes, giveaways and music after the Revenge of the Nerds Tricycle Race. Meet at ZOIC booth. 

4 – 6 pm – Decker on the Main Stage.

4:20 pm MTBBOXX will be doing a live raffle. Attendees can sign up and buy a raffle ticket for $1 at their booth. Do not need to be present to win!

4:30 pm – Bunny Hop Contest – How high can you go? Find out in our all-levels all-good bunny hop party! Sign up for free at the Ryan Leech Connection Skills Coaching Truck Camper in the Expo.  We’ll offer some amazing prizes and swag for participants and spectators too! Free Wanderlust Beer will be flowing – come watch all the action!

5 pm – Last return shuttle back to the expo area.

5 pm –  Raffle Drawing at the Main Stage for Giant Bikes and Shimano Groupset & Wheels.! Over $16,000 in prizes Click here for more info and a complect prize list. All proceeds go to Sedona Red Rock Trail Fund & Verde Valley Cyclists Coalition.

5:30 pm – Transition PBJ raffle drawing at the Transition Booth. All proceeds go to Sedona Red Rock Trail Fund & Verde Valley Cyclists Coalition.

6:30 pm – 11 pm – After party and movie Night at the Sedona Hub (next to the skate park) hosted by Bike Magazine and Ska. FREE with your festival pass, or a $10 at the door donation to the Red Rock Trail Fund.  Pizza Truck, and music by DJ Teddy Huxtable. More information here. First come first served.

7 pm – Main expo area is closed. Everyone is encouraged to stay for the after party at the park. 

10 pm – All cars need to be off parking fields.   

10 pm – Still haven’t had enough? After after party at the Olde Sedona Bar and Grill. 

Sunday, March 8th

9 am – Registration open.

9:30 am – It’s time to bring some bend to the bike! Join ZOIC ambassadors Katy Niksic and Joanna Yates for an energizing 30 min movement & breath session before you head out on your final day of riding. Meet by the main stage. Soft grass, friendly vibes, muffins and hugs provided… just bring your body 🙂 All abilities welcome. 

10 am – First shuttle leaves.

For ride, meet at Festival entrance where our Shimano ride sign is posted next to the Sedona Trail Fund Shimano XT display and look for our Shimano athlete ride leaders. . Recommend arrive prior to 10:00 AM! 1 Hour Ride – All levels

10:30 am – Sunday Orbea Demo is reservation only, stop by on Friday or Saturday to reserve a bike at the Orbea booth

11 am – Group Ride hosted by ZOIC, led by ZOIC Athlete and Ride Series founder Rich Drew. Beginner/Intermediate. 1.5-2 hours. Meet at the ZOIC booth.

Noon – Patagonia group ride led by Ambassador, Carston Oliver. 2 hour intermediate ride. Meet and finish at the Patagonia booth for a Patagonia Provisions happy hour!

1 pm – Beer garden opens.

1 pm – Advanced group ride with the Rocky Mountain riders Wade Simmons, Sam Schultz and BC Bike RIDE crew. Expect a 2-3 hr ride. 

1 pm – 3 pm – Ryan Leech Skills Jam Sign up in advance at Ryan’s truck or online.

1:30 – 3:30 pm – The James Brown Band Band on the Main Stage.

2 pm – Afternoon Trail Shred! Led by Specialized Pro Enduro Rider, Curtis Keene and local trail ninja Lars Romig! Meet at the Specialized booth! (2 hour ride)
