Meet the 2026 Filmmakers
Clay Porter / Sweet San Francisco
Clay Porter has spent half his life documenting mountain biking, honing a filmmaking skill set that spans virtually every aspect of production and post-production. His mountain bike film, Deathgrip, was streamed globally on Netflix for two years, the longest streaming term a core action sports film has ever been on Netflix. The film was translated into 44 different languages and was the number 1 film on iTunes during its release week in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. In 2009, Porter created the first-ever web series for Red Bull titled The Atherton Project, which went on to see global television syndication. In his now two-decade run as a full-time content creator, Porter has filmed campaigns for many of the world's largest brands, along with the director of photography for various global commercials.
Pierre-Luc Arseneau / Where There's A Will
P-L is a Canadian filmmaker, mountain biker, and outdoor enthusiast. He mainly works as a Director of Photography on commercials and documentaries. He has worked across Canada on various projects, including HBO TV series, RedBull TV event, SuperBowl featured commercials, and Film Festival Award-winning outdoor documentaries. His background, culture, bilingualism and ability to adapt makes him a valuable Swiss army knife in the creative world. His genuine love for the craft and his personality is a true asset for many productions.
Offsite Studio / I Have It All
Offsite Studio is a film and photography company out of Santa Cruz, California, founded by Robin Sansom and Laura Cook. They learned how to tell stories mostly by hearing them from savory characters over long careers in the photo and outdoor industries — tales told on road trips and around crackling campfires, or in surf lineups and those curious spots on the trail where everyone seems to take a break. In this spirit, Offsite Studio likes to build stories that foster intimacy, cultivate a sense of community, and illuminate the unseen.
Kevin McDevitt / Bike Short
Kevin McDevitt is the founder of Slacker Studios, producer/host of 805 Film Collective’s “The Film Lab” screening series, and an award-winning screenwriter, director, producer, editor, & distributor. Based in Ojai, California, Kevin cut his teeth directing ads and nonprofit PSAs, and had his breakthrough with the viral music video “Good Blood.” Kevin’s debut screenplay, “Hard Luck Times,” has been accepted to the Stowe Story Labs for development as an independent action-comedy feature film. Kevin is also currently touring his award-winning debut short film, "Bike Short,” which has played 27 festivals in 6 countries, winning 10 awards and filling historic venues with laughter around the world.
Peartree Productions / Monochrome
Founded by Alex Poirier and Yann Reynolds and recently joined by Carl-Frédéric Marc-Aurèle, Peartree Productions brings together three creators deeply connected to both filmmaking and the world of freeride culture. Peartree specializes in commercial and documentary work with an approach focused on authenticity, cinematic visuals, and strong human stories. While the company works across multiple industries, the heart of its identity comes from mountain biking and the outdoor community that shaped it from the beginning. The local mountain bike scene played a major role in pushing Peartree to get involved in productions tied to the sport, including Flowstates, which won Breakout of the Year at the IF3 Festival in 2025. Through every project, the goal remains the same: creating films that feel real, energetic, and driven by passion.
Darcy Hennessey and Brandon Watts / Without A Doubt
Darcy Hennessey and Brandon Watts bring together decades' worth of award-winning production and storytelling experience. Based in Vancouver, BC, Hennessey is an award-winning director, with hundreds of screenings at festivals worldwide and numerous films featured in Vimeo’s “Best of the Year” collections. She has established herself by blending whimsical visuals with nuanced storytelling while showcasing a wide range of directorial scope. Founder of Freehub magazine, Watts is an experienced producer and publisher based in Bellingham, Washington, with a skillset for bringing grassroots stories to life. He has built his career and publication around directing and producing video and print projects that elevate the international mountain biking community. Combined, these two professionals blend their cinematic expertise and knowledge of mountain biking to make an accomplished Pacific Northwest-based production duo.
Alex Clapin / Return to Something
Alex Clapin is a documentary filmmaker and director based in Whistler, British Columbia. Through his production company, Untamed Media, Clapin creates character-driven films that explore the people, cultures, and communities behind action sports and adventure. His work focuses on authentic storytelling, combining cinematic visuals with intimate personal narratives to reveal the deeper human experiences behind athletic achievement. His films have screened at festivals and community events internationally, covering subjects ranging from mountain biking and snowboarding to endurance expeditions and mountain culture.

Is it all going to be films I've already seen before?
We doubt it! None of our film selections have been released online prior to July 10th, 2026.
