We are hard at work on the 2022 event and this will continue to be updated as we get closer to March.

2022 Sedona Mountain Bike Festival Schedule

Thursday, March 3rd

Noon – Registration and packet pick up open from Noon – 6 pm at Thunder Mountain Bikes.

Friday, March 4th

9 am – Registration open. 

9:30am – Absolute Bikes & Specialized Triple-H Ride – Hiline, 12 rider limit, sign up here.  Meet at the Specialized tent, leaving via shuttle at 10:00 am.  Giving away tires to anyone that completes all 3 rides.  Swag for everyone. 

9:30 am – Stop by SEVENiDP during the day to get a ticket for the drawing at 5:00 PM.  They will be giving away a pair of Sam Hill or Sam Hill Lite knee pads (winner’s choice), a 7iDP T-shirt, and a pair of 7iDP socks as well as 2nd and 3rd place prizes.

9:30 am – Kids Ride Shotgun Mountain Bike Art Activity Giveaway 

9:30  am – Trail Manos Ride led by Alex Petitdemange. Meet at the Trail Manos tent – this is an intermediate/advanced ride.

9:30 am –  Meet at the Trailforks booth for a ride with Christina Chappetta and Tom Bradshaw, intermediate, 1.5 hours max.

10 am – First shuttle leaves.

10 am – Ladies ride, intermediate level, sign up & meet at the Specialized tent. Ride from venue.

10 am – Group ride hosted by Transition Bikes and led by TR Staff and other Giddy Up Squad members. All skill levels are welcome. Central Sedona trails, 1.5 – 2 hours. Meet at the Transition booth.

10 am – Meet at the Kona booth for an all skill level ride on Central Sedona, trails 2 hours.

10 am – Hardtail Patty and Dusty Betty group ride. Intermediate level ride. Meet at the club ride booth.
 
10 am – Ride with Kaitlyn Boyle meet at the industry Nine Booth – Skill Level: Intermediate / everyone(no drop) Duration: 2-3 hours with seasoning figured in. Make sure to pack plenty of water, you are going out with one of the queens of distance MTB. Trail(s): Thunder Mountain Loop from expo (ability to adapt ride, up to group) Numbers: Est Ride 8-10 miles / ~1000 vertical feet Rider cap: 10

10:30 am –  Meet at the Canyon booth for an all-skill-levels group ride (1-1.5 hours) led by Luca Cometti

10:30 am – Element Ride w/ Sam Schultz  Get a chance to ride the new Rocky Mountain Element on a guided ride led by the one and only Sam Schultz! Sign up HERE (opens March 1st) beforehand to secure your Rocky Mountain Element for this ride ahead of time. If you reserved a demo bike – please show up at least 15min prior to the ride start. Every participant must be registered with the Sedona MTB Festival. The Ride is free. Refreshments & Snacks at the RM booth afterwards 

11 am –  Shimano “Women’s only” ride. Led by Olympic athlete and multi-time World Champion Jill Kintner and Factory Pivot Enduro racer Stefanie McDaniel.  Ride from the venue on a fun route called by Jill. Visit Shimano booth prior to ride to reserve your spot. Spots will be limited. Meet at Shimano booth approx. 10 min before ride start and be ready to roll at 11:00 AM. Shimano swag to all participants + Special Jill Kintner “Bandit Hill” Swag! 1 to 1.5 Hour Ride – All levels, no drop fun ride with some trail tips from Jill!

11 am – USA Cycling “no drop” group ride! Join BMX Freestyle National Team athlete Angie Marino and USA Cycling’s Sport Performance Marketing Lead Angelina Palermo on a no drop ride from the venue. Meet at the Canyon tent ready to roll at 11am and get some USA Cycling swag! All skill levels welcome!

12 pm – Come join the SHREDLY crew for a lunch ride and 2022 sneak peek! We will be leaving from the venue for a chill, no drop ride – capped at 10 riders! Those who join will get a sneak peek at what’s new in 2022.

1 pm – Beer garden opens.

1 pm – Group ride hosted by Transition Bikes and led by TR Staff and other Giddy Up Squad members. All skill levels are welcome. Central Sedona trails, 1.5 – 2 hours. Meet at the Transition booth. 

1 pm – Trail Manos Ride led by SMBA Coaches: Agnes & Dusty Betty. Meet at the Trail Manos tent – this is an intermediate ride.

1 pm – Collect your free Shred Til Bed mountain bike tattoos   (Kids Ride Shotgun booth)

1:30-3:30 pm Red Rocks Charlie B on the main stage

2 pm  – Shred the Red with a Forest Ranger. Come ride with the Trail Crew on an intermediate ride from the venue. Meet at the Forest Service booth.

2 pm – Bike Geometry explained – Always wanted to learn a little bit more about how to properly set-up your bike and how bike geometry affects your ride? We got you! Stop by the booth to learn about size specific tune and how to set-up your bike properly. All explained on our Ride-4 and Ride-9 system 

2 pm – E-MTB Shimano EP8 group ride. Led by North Shore Freeride Legend Geoff Gulevich and Legendary MTB Hall of Fame riders Dave Cullinan and Joe Murray. Visit the Shimano booth prior to the ride to sign up and reserve an EP8 equipped E-MTB. Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the ride time to get your demo bike set-up. Ride is free. Must be registered with the Sedona festival. E-Bike demos are only available for our group led rides. Shimano swag to all participants + 1 Lazer trail helmet will be given out at the end of the ride to one lucky recipient. Ride rolls from Shimano booth at 2:00 PM. Approx. 1-1.5 Hour Ride – All levels

2:30 pm – Women’s Group Ride with Canyon Bicycles and Samantha Soriano; All skill levels welcome for this 1-1.5-hour no-drop casual ride

3 pm – Last shuttle departs.

3 pm – Join Heather Munive and Madison Pitts at the Kenda Tires tent for the Jump Jam at the Sedona Bike Skills Park. All riders of all skill levels welcome.

3 pm – Please come join MTB coach and manager of the T3 downhill team Jason Simpson for a no drop ride leaving from the KENDA booth at 3pm Friday.  Jason will be leading a ride from the venue to the local trails to go over basic riding skills and just a fun time.

3 pm – Rocky Mountain & Dark Sky Happy HourStop by the booth to try the delicious Vortices Hazy IPA by Dark Sky X Rocky Mountain. Play cornhole to win a custom shirt! 

3 pm – Troy Lee Designs Women’s Group Ride lead by Leigh Donovan and Stefanie McDaniel (No Dop, Beginner-Intermediate on Adobe Jack)

3:30 pm Sedona Mountain Bike Academy: Ask a Mountain Bike Coach with Joanna Yates:  Do you have some questions you have always wanted to ask a MTB coach?  Well this is your chance!  Stop by our booth to leave a question for the event or come to the mainstage and ask one in person!  The coaching panel will be composed of some of the most legendary MTB coaches in the industry.  Come learn from the best at the event mainstage during the Sedona MTB Festival!

4 – 6 pm – Party in the Woods (errrrr…. Vortex) at the Transition Bikes booth. Meet the Transition crew, enjoy a TR Blue Lagoon cocktail (or beer or non-alcoholic beverage), and have a go at the PBJ Drag Race, which won’t be a drag, it’s much COOLER. Costumes are encouraged but not required and everyone is invited to test their dragging skills in the competition. Prizes will be awarded for various “winners”, including a brand new TR PBJ frame.

5 pm – HUNT happy hour. Keg will be tapped at 5pm(non-alcoholic options available too) While you’re hanging out, grab a free raffle ticket for an opportunity to win a pair of MTB wheels. *Additional raffle tickets available for $5 each or 5 for $20 and all proceeds go to our friends at Ride For Racial Justice.  Tickets available all weekend long and we will call or text the winner on Sunday afternoon.

4 pm –  Beers + Bikepacking | Hosted by Jon Yazzie of Dzil Ta’ah Adventures and Eliza Sampey, visit the Club Ride Booth for a Happy Hour Q+A on All Things Bikepacking

4:00-6:00 pm Dusty Tuffet on the Main Stage

5 pm – Last return shuttle back to the expo area.

5 pm – SEVENiDP drawing at 5:00 PM.  They will be giving away a pair of Sam Hill or Sam Hill Lite knee pads (winner’s choice), a 7iDP T-shirt, and a pair of 7iDP socks.

6 pm – Night Ride with Industry Nine / Outbound Lighting / REEB – Meet at the Industry Nine booth. Demo lights available – limited number of lights, stop by Outbound to reserve a set before the ride. Jeff Lenosky and the REEB Crew will lead a mellow pace ride up Soldiers Pass and down Adobe Jack to the trail head. All levels ride, no drop with sweepers, aka “Party Pace” that will finish back at the Industry Nine booth.

7 pm – Expo is closed and all cars need to be off parking fields.

 

Saturday, March 5th

9 am – Registration open.

9:15-9:30 am Enduro Bites Yoga Flow with Joanna Yates 9:15-9:30am *All Levels Welcome! Start your morning off with Yoga and Enduro Bites Beta Red Pre Ride.

9:30 am – Stop By SEVENiDP during the day to get a ticket for the drawing at 5:00 PM.  They will be giving away a set of Tag Metals carbon bars (winner picks rise) and a pair of Tag Metals grips.

9:30 am – Hangover/Hiline Ride w/ Sam Schultz | Condition-dependent, Advanced only – 3.5-4hrs Ride one of the most challenging and fun trails in Sedona led by the one and only Sam Schultz! Sign up HERE (opens March 1st) for this ride. This is an Advanced ride – Limited spots available. If you reserved a demo bike – please show up at least 15min prior to the ride start. Every participant must be registered with the Sedona MTB Festival. The Ride is free. Refreshments & Snacks at the RM booth afterwards

11 am –  Cognative Locals Loop led by former local Chad Davis from Crankjoy.com. This will be an upper intermediate to advanced ride with plenty of climbing (2000+ ft), some of the best vista’s in town and a few rowdy descents! Meet at the Cognative MTB Booth”

12 pm – meet Heather Munive and Madison Pitts at the Kenda tent for a no drop ride from the venue. Reserve your spot at the Kenda tent and get Kenda Swag! 

12:30 pm-  Free tubeless tire clinic presented by DT Swiss, meet at the DT Swiss booth.

12:45 pm – Group ride with Jordy Scott on Hiline! This ride is open to all intermediate/advanced riders with a cap at 14 people as we will be shuttling to and from the Yavapai Vista parking lot. Look forward to receiving some swag from Kenda, 6D Helmets, 7Protection, and Industry Nine & some tips on line choice and body position from Jordy. Meet on Saturday at the Kenda tent at 12:45pm and we will be at the shuttle by 1:00pm. Plan on having 2 to 3 hours available for this ride. First come, first serve basis for spots on the ride.

1 pm –  Learn “Balance 101” at the Canyon booth, instruction and Q&A with Braydon Bringhurst

1:30-3:30 pm The James Brown Band Band on the Main Stage

2 pm – Shimano “Priority” Shuttle ride. Led by “Trail Boss” YouTube star Jeff Lenosky, Olympic medalist and Multi-World Champion Jill Kintner and everyone’s favorite shredder Bryn Atkinson as well as Olympic athlete and all around stud Sam Shultz. Shuttle to Carol Canyon.  Starting at the Scheurman MTN trailhead – Scorpion, Pyramid – Chavez Ranch Road – Ridge trail – Sketch – Ridge trail – Short road spin back to the venue.  Must sign-up prior to ride to guarantee a seat on the shuttle.  Visit Shimano booth prior to ride to reserve your spot on the ride. 1 Lazer trail helmet will be given out at the end of the ride to one lucky recipient. Shimano swag to all participants. Meet at Shimano booth approx. 10 minutes prior to get checked in. As a group we will head to the awaiting VIP shuttle at 2:00 PM. Approx. 2 hour – Intermediate + with a couple short advanced sections.

2 pm – 3 pm Pump Track Session with Eric Porter and family, Micayla Gatto, and Seth Alvo. Meet at the Diamondback booth and roll over to the pump track.

2 pm – Powerplay/Dyname 4.0 FAQDesigned and tested on the North Shore – Learn about Rocky Mountains in-house designed Dyname 4.0 motor and drive system. 

2 pm  – Shred the Red with a Forest Ranger. Come ride with the Trail Crew on an intermediate ride from the venue. Meet at the Forest Service booth.

2 pm – Dusty Betty and Hardtail Party advanced group ride. Meet at the Nice Bike booth. Hardtails and full suspensions welcome.

2 pm – Kids Ride Shotgun Family Ride! Meet at Kids Ride Shotgun booth for a family ride to the tot track Tattoos and treats after. 

2:30 pm – Women’s Group Ride with Canyon Bicycles and Angie Marino; All skill levels welcome for this 1-1.5-hour no-drop casual ride.

All weekend – Corn hole competition! Stop by the Nice Bike booth to enter to win some transportation protection products for your mountain bike. There will be daily prizes and a weekend winner prize

3 pm – Last shuttle departs.

3 pm – 4:20 pm Sober Happy Hour with Athletic Brewing and Twisted Spoke.  Free beverages from Athletic Brewing @ the QARV Imports booth.

3 pm – Rocky Mountain & Dark Sky Happy Hour  – Stop by the booth to try the delicious Vortices Hazy IPA by Dark Sky X Rocky Mountain. Play cornhole to win a custom shirt! 

3-5 pm  Cognative Deep Discounts Bin Sale – Score some crazy deals with prices starting at just $5!

3 pm – Manual + Wheelie Clinic | Hosted by Danica Fife (Fife and Flow), Meet at the Club Ride Booth 

3:30 pm – ZOIC’s Revenge of the Nerds Tricycle Race! Pedal hard and CHUG for pride and prizes! Register your team at the ZOIC Booth. 

4:00-6:00 pm Spicy Loops  on the Main Stage

4 pm –  Join the Kenda Family for a Happy Hour- bring your friends and family for a refreshing beverage

4:30 pm – Bunny Hop Contest – How high can you go? Sedona MTB Festival Bunny Hop Competition Hosted by SMBA and Thunder Mountain Bikes:  Enter the competition by registering at our booth or join our crew to boogie down as we curate one of the biggest parties of the Sedona MTB Festival.  A free keg is provided by Wanderlust Brewery with fresh music, rowdy crowds, over the top hosts and even our own SMBA judging panel.  It’s an event you don’t want to miss.

5 pm – Last return shuttle back to the expo area.

4 pm – Last return shuttle back to the expo area.

6 pm – Festival wraps up.
